Prime Minister-designate Alexandru Munteanu announces new candidates for government

Prime Minister-designate Alexandru Munteanu announced that Natalia Plugaru is proposed for the position of Minister of Labor and Social Protection, while Gheorghe Hajder is set to become the new Minister of Environment. Alexei Buzu has agreed to take on the role of Secretary General of the State Chancellery.

Alexandru Munteanu emphasized that the nominees for the governmental team are professionals with solid experience in their respective fields.

“We are completing the governmental team with professionals who have solid experience in their areas of activity. Natalia Plugaru, an expert in social policies and the protection of vulnerable individuals, is proposed to lead the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. Gheorghe Hajder, currently a state secretary at the Ministry of Environment, is proposed to be appointed as Minister of Environment,” stated Munteanu.

He said that Alexei Buzu has agreed to take on the role of Secretary General of the State Chancellery.

“At the same time, I thank Alexei Buzu for agreeing to assume the role of Secretary General of the State Chancellery. Together, we will ensure that each institution works efficiently, in service of the people, to implement the necessary reforms and advance our path to European Union accession,” emphasized Munteanu.

Yesterday, Alexandru Munteanu, the designated candidate for the position of prime minister, announced the addition of three new members proposed for key roles in the future Cabinet. Thus, Valeriu Chiveri is set to be the new Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Eugen Osmochescu will serve as Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, and Andrian Gavriliță is proposed to head the Ministry of Finance.

Moreover, Munteanu announced the candidates for the positions of Minister of Justice, Minister of Culture, and Minister of Health. The positions are to be occupied by Vladislav Cojuhari, Cristian Jardan and Emil Ceban.
     

The full list of the Cabinet is to be presented to the Parliament for examination and a vote of confidence in the coming days.
