Spring Wine Vernissage

The 25th edition of the Spring Wine Vernissage will be held in Chișinău on May 15 this year, at a restaurant in the capital. The organizers invite guests of the event to celebrate spring with a tasting of new wines.

The Vernissage will bring together wine producers, specialists, international partners and wine lovers in an atmosphere that highlights results, quality and continuity. Each stand, each glass tasted will speak about passion and about Moldova as an authentic destination for wine tourism.

“We are celebrating 25 editions of the Wine Vernissage, a benchmark for the wine industry and the space where the vision of creators meets the passion of wine lovers. This anniversary edition highlights white, rosé and sparkling wines, true symbols of freshness and elegance. Alongside other native varieties, the spotlight will be on Feteasca Albă and Feteasca Regală, the true stars of the evening,” the organizers announce.

In recent years, the Republic of Moldova has launched an extensive process of certifying wines with Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), a quality traceability system. Currently, three PGI zones are delimited in our country: Codru, which covers the central part of the country; Ștefan Vodă (southeast) and Valul lui Traian (south). For Protected Geographical Indications, at least 85% of the grapes come from the defined geographical region, while the remaining 15% come from elsewhere in the country.

Also, the year 2025 was a historic one for the wine sector: the Republic of Moldova hosted major global events such as the 46th World Congress of Vine and Wine and the “Concours Mondial de Bruxelles”. These achievements confirm that Moldova is not just a wine-producing country, but an emerging tourist destination where wine becomes experience, culture and identity.

Thus, the Wine Vernissage remains more than an event – it is a calling card of the Republic of Moldova, open to the whole world.
