EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos and Prime Minister Vasile Tofan are holding a press conference. The statements follow the tenth meeting of the Moldova-European Union Association Council, held today in Brussels.

During the event, officials from Chișinău and EU representatives are reviewing developments from the past year and setting priorities for the next period. The delegation of the Republic of Moldova is led by Prime Minister Vasile Tofan, while the European Union delegation is led by Kaja Kallas.

The meeting reviews the past 12 months of cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union. Officials are also discussing reforms implemented in areas such as security, justice, the economy, and energy. The meeting’s agenda also includes the main issues concerning the Republic of Moldova’s European path.

The Association Council is an annual format for high-level dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, established under the Association Agreement signed in 2014.
