Government simplifies access for small and medium enterprises to grants and business development consultancy
Entrepreneurs will have easier access to financing, consultancy, and other types of support for business development provided by the Organization for Entrepreneurial Development (ODA). The government has approved a regulation that will streamline the administration of all support programs for small and medium enterprises.
Entrepreneurs will request different types of support through a unified mechanism, with a single business plan submitted to the ODA. Until now, separate applications for each program were necessary, and entrepreneurs needed much time to analyze the conditions and submit the appropriate files.
The changes will stimulate the launch and development of businesses, increase the competitiveness and innovation of SMEs, thus contributing to the strengthening of the national economy and promoting a sustainable business environment.
Currently, the ODA is implementing 10 state programs, providing support to various categories of entrepreneurs – young entrepreneurs, women in business, assistance for greening enterprises, for attracting remittances into the economy. Over the last four years, ODA supported 2,270 projects with grants totaling 917 million lei, attracting investments of 2.1 billion lei and generating thousands of jobs.
Through the 373 Program, 1,200 initiatives were supported, generating investments of 5.3 billion lei. Additionally, more than 2,000 credit guarantees were provided, covering projects of 6.6 billion lei. In total, the investments mobilized in the economy amount to over 14 billion lei.
