Moldovan PM has meeting with vice-president of European Commisssion
The officials discussed the role and contribution of the European Union to modernizing the road infrastructure, strengthening state’s security, building hospitals and providing quality medical services, creating better conditions in kindergartens and schools and providing compensations for electricity and heating to all citizens.
"The European Union is more than a partner - it is the family that supports us when we need it and helps us build a better present and future at home, in peace and prosperity," said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas appreciated the developments on the path to European integration of Moldova. She reaffirmed constant support for the implementation of reforms and for keeping the country on the European agenda.
The dialogue also focused on strengthening the cooperation in the field of security and defense. In this regard, the PM appreciated the assistance provided through the European Peace Facility (EPF) emphasized the activity of the European Union's Partnership Mission in Moldova (EUPM), which contributes to the development of crisis management capacities and countering external threats.
EU High Representative Kaja Kallas on April 23-24 pays her first visit to Moldova since taking office. The agenda of the visit also includes meetings with President Maia Sandu, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popsoi, as well as discussions with civil society’s representatives.
