Moldovan cabinet, Chisinau city hall to organize winter holidays together
Chisinau, 25 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu chaired a meeting dedicated to the winter holidays at the government today. Attending the event were the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, Education, Culture and Research Minister Corneliu Popovici, as well as the government’s secretary general, Liliana Iaconi, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
In the beginning of the meeting, the PM said that all component actions of the winter holidays must be integrated into a single event. “The practice of the deficit of communication between authorities, which prompts the holding of two separate holidays, is good to remain in the past,” Ion Chicu noted.
The Moldovan capital’s mayor, Ion Ceban, backed the PM’s approach and asked for support to organize an as attractive as possible holiday for children.
This year, the winter holidays will take place on the Great National Assembly Square and on the Square of the Birth of God Cathedral.
