Thirty five local public authorities of Moldova to benefit from non-refundable funding worth 10 million lei
The list of local development projects, due to be financed through the Diaspora Home Succeeds DAR 1+3 Programme, has been approved by the cabinet. With this year's edition, the government has increased the contribution for each selected project from 250,000 to 350,000 lei. Thus, the total contribution of the cabinet amounts to ten million lei.
The selected projects aim at the development of local infrastructure, the arrangement of playgrounds for children and parks, the renovation of cultural houses, and educational institutions. Among the 35 winning projects, there are also environmental, energy and sports infrastructure projects.
"We thank the citizens from the Diaspora who invest in settlements of Moldova. We will continue to allocate resources for such projects useful to our communities," said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
The beneficiaries are to organize, by the end of 2025, procurement procedures for the goods and services financed from the budget, with the works to be completed within 12 months after the project’s approval at the latest.
The DAR 1+3 programme is an initiative that encourages the Diaspora to invest in the economic and social development of Moldova. The project is funded out based on the 1+3 formula: the Diaspora, the government of Moldova, local public authorities and development partners. Since 2020, more than 194 local development projects have been implemented through this programme.
