
Moldovan, Croatian officials broach current crisis situation
Chisinau, Oct. 13 /MOLDPRES/- The dynamics of the interaction in the negotiation process regarding the Transnistrian settlement, the priorities of Chisinau in promoting the country's reintegration policies and the assistance measures offered to the residents on both banks of the Dniester were addressed at a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian and State Secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Croatia Andreja Metelko-Zgombić, the Reintegration Policy Office has reported.
Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian said that the Chisinau authorities opt for the peaceful and definitive settlement of the Transnistrian conflict within the unitary and functional state of the Republic of Moldova, they want progress with tangible results in this process, as well as making continuous efforts to defend and restore human rights in the eastern districts of the country.
Current crisis situations (regional security, the energy sector, hybrid risks and threats) were also in the spotlight, highlighting the fact that all possible measures are being taken in order to optimally manage these vulnerabilities, avoid unwanted consequences, maintain an atmosphere of stability and predictability, overcoming existing challenges with joint efforts.
