Moldovan government approves appointment of two ambassadors to office
Chisinau, 22 December /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers, at a today’s meeting, approved the appointment to office of two ambassadors, who will represent Moldova’s interests abroad, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Thus, Eugen Revenco, who is presently secretary general at the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE), was appointed as Moldova’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain.
During 2015-2019, Eugen Revenco was ambassador to Latvia and during 2013-2015 he acted as adviser of Moldova’s president and executive director of the Moldovan-German Forum. At the same time, he has diploma of master in European Law at the Free University of Brussels.
Also today, Valeriu Chiveri was appointed as Moldova’s Ambassador to Ukraine. Presently, he holds the position of head of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, Tajikistan and on the period 2013-2015, he worked as deputy foreign affairs and European integration minister. In 2010-2013, Chiveri acted as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Austria, Moldova’s Resident Representative at the OSCE and UN Organizations in Vienna.
