Moldovan government launched additional support measures during cold season for vulnerable people
Chisinau, Dec. 7 /MOLDPRES/- Government has launched a new package of additional support measures for the population during the cold season, the government's communication department has reported.
Thus, 67,711 beneficiaries from four vulnerable categories will benefit from a one-off payment of 3,000 or 5,000 lei, depending on the category. A total budget - 226 million lei for the support measures.
The categories that will benefit from the one-off cash payment are:
3,000 lei for 56,236 pensioners born before 1945 and who have a pension of less than 3,000 lei
5,000 lei for 3,019 families who have children with severe disabilities under their care and supervision
5,000 lei for 7,195 families with disabled persons included in the Personal Assistance service, 5,000 lei for 1,261 pregnant or breastfeeding women with children between 0 and 13 months, beneficiaries of social assistance.
A support package was launched for Strengthening the capacities of the national social protection system, which consists of one-off payment of an exceptional nature established for certain categories of employees in the social protection to motivate and support their dedication and performance.
With the support of several UN agencies, 9,751 employees of institutions in the social sector will receive a salary increase starting from 2,000 lei for part-time auxiliary staff and from 5,000 lei for full-time specialized and basic staff.
