Moldovan government's secretary general meets new Ambassador of germany to Moldova
Chisinau, 3 November /MOLDPRES/ - Government’s Secretary General Dumitru Udrea today had a meeting with Her Excellency Margret Uebber, Ambassador of Germany to Moldova. The main subject of the discussion was the preparation for the next meeting of donors within the Moldova Support Platform – an initiative of Germany, France and Romania, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
„Germany is with Moldova and I am deeply grateful for the every support provided during years, but especially this year – such a difficult year not only for our country, but also for entire Europe,’’ Dumitru Udrea stressed.
For her part, Margret Uebber said that Germany would continue backing Moldova, including at the third conference of the Moldova Support Platform. ‘’Germany is a reliable partner of Moldova and will support it on its way to the European Union,’’ Margret Uebber said.
Dumitru Udrea also said that, at the next conference, he would present to donors the country’s needs for strengthening the energy security, consolidation of the financial capacity, as well as for continuing the structural reforms for advancing in the European integration.
The goal of the Conference’s organization is to mobilize, concentrate and coordinate the political, technical and financial support of developed countries for Moldova. The Moldova Support Platform is an instrument of support of the Moldovan authorities’ efforts to overcome the crises faced. At the same time, it has the role to back the successful implementation of the reforms necessary for the state’s modernization and strengthening the resilience of its institutions.
