
Moldovan president puts forward Natalia Gavrilita for PM office
Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today nominated Natalia Gavrilita as candidate for the office of prime minister, the presidential press service has reported.
„I signed today the Decree on the nomination of Natalia Gavrilita for the office of prime minister of Moldova, following the consultations with the parliamentary factions. Mrs. Gavrilita has at her disposal two weeks, in order to create the team and to work out the government’s action programme, which she is to present in parliament,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
The head of state noted that she was fully confident that the PM nominated should come up with a just and professional team and that Moldova would have a new government in two weeks at the latest, which is to signify also a new beginning for the country. ‘’The people are expecting changes for the better and firm actions and competent decisions are needed for this, which are to put the citizens’ interests on the forefront,’’ Maia Sandu stressed.
