Moldovan president has phone conversation with Swedish PM
President Maia Sandu today had a phone conversation with the Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson, as part of her ongoing diplomatic efforts with leaders of European Union member states.
The discussion focused on the progress achieved by Moldova in the EU accession process and on the next stages of the country’s European path. The Moldovan president reiterated the firm determination of all institutions to maintain the pace of the initiated reforms and emphasized that Moldova was fully prepared to begin accession negotiations by clusters of chapters. The two officials also discussed prospects for deepening bilateral relations between Moldova and the Kingdom of Sweden, as well as developments in regional security.
