
Moldovan president talked to diaspora in Italy
Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu discussed on Friday evening in live format with Moldovans in Italy. During the discussion, moderated by Elena Druta, presidential adviser for relations with the diaspora, the president answered the questions of our fellow citizens residing in Italy, the presidential press service has reported.
The priority issues for Moldovans in Italy were: pensions, recognition of diplomas in Italy, facilitating voting in diaspora, improving consular services and opportunities to invest in their hometowns and get involved in social projects in the Republic Moldova.
The president spoke about the negotiations on social protection agreements and the recognition of studies, which are nearing completion and could be signed in the near future. At the same time, Maia Sandu urged people to get involved in the support and investment programs for the diaspora, which currently exist in the Republic of Moldova.
The head of state also provided details about the daily negotiations for bringing the Covid vaccine to the Republic of Moldova. She thanked the citizens residing in Italy for their interest in the health situation in our country and urged them to share their experiences related to the pandemic and vaccination in Italy with relatives and close ones from Moldova.
1,320 people registered for the discussion on Friday, and the live dialogue was watched online by tens of thousands of people. The presidency will regularly hold live talks with Moldovan citizens residing in different countries of the world.
