Moldova's foreign minister meets Italian envoy
Chisinau, 13 August /MOLDPRES/- In the discussion with Italian Ambassador to Moldova Valeria Biagiotti, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Oleg Țulea highlighted the importance of using the cooperation potential, including by organizing Moldovan-Italian interministerial consultations at the level of secretary of state /political director of foreign ministries, the MAEIE’S press service has reported.
The officials approached the need to relaunch and boost trade exchanges and mutual investment. In this respect, the Moldovan official conveyed to the authorities in Rome thanks of Moldovan carriers, which since August 10 have free access to the Italian market. Thus, the bilateral exchanges of goods and services were facilitated, essential for about 1,400 Moldovan-Italian joint ventures registered in our country.
Given the constant concern of the Italian Ministry of Diaspora, as well as many requests from our citizens, Minister Oleg Țulea reiterated his request to the Rome authorities to consider the possibility to relax the restrictive measures imposed, including Moldovans.
The event also focused on opening polling stations abroad for presidential election this autumn. Tulea expressed the intention of the Central Electoral Commission to open several electoral offices in Italy, in compliance with the sanitary measures set by local authorities.
