Prime Minister at meeting with Romania’s delegation in Davos: We are building bridges that transcend geographical borders
The relationship between the Republic of Moldova and Romania not only endures over time and is based on close friendship and shared values, but is also growing stronger with every joint project completed. Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu made the statement at a meeting with representatives of the Romanian delegation at the World Economic Forum in Davos – Minister of Foreign Affairs Oana Țoiu and Minister of Investments and European Projects Dragoș Pîslaru.
Munteanu conveyed gratitude to the members of the Romanian Government for the solidarity and friendship between our countries and the constant support for the Republic of Moldova on its path towards European integration.
It was also highlighted that, last year, Romania was the main commercial and investment partner of the Republic of Moldova. Bilateral trade exceeded three billion euros, while Romanian investments in the Republic of Moldova reached about 35 million euros.
“We are building bridges that transcend geographical borders. From energy to road infrastructure, education, health and culture, we have ambitious plans and major joint projects that bring us closer to EU accession and improve the lives of all citizens,” he emphasized.
