The development of cooperation between Moldova and Ukraine, the shared goal of European integration of both states, and joint infrastructure projects have been discussed at a meeting of Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu with Ukrainian officials Taras Kachka, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, and Oleksii Sobolev, Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture.

The PM emphasized Moldova’s readiness to support Ukraine in the country’s reconstruction process, including through the implementation of bilateral and regional initiatives in the fields of transport, infrastructure, energy and cybersecurity. The prime minister also said that the Interior Ministry was preparing to send humanitarian aid. The Ukrainian side will receive generators, medical devices and special emergency vehicles.

“We stand with the Ukrainian people in these terrible moments, when the aggressor is striking the energy infrastructure in the most barbaric way, and people in Kyiv are left in cold, without water, without light in this frosty weather. We share the same goal – a life of freedom and peace for our citizens,” said Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu.

The sides also discussed cooperation in the humanitarian, energy and economic fields.
