Prime Minister announces US government investment in complete construction of Strășeni - Gutinaș power line
Strășeni – Gutinaș power line will be fully built thanks to the United States Government's investment worth 130 million USD.
It will span 190 km and directly connect Moldova to Romania and the European network. The announcement about the new connection, which will eliminate energy blackmail and guarantee electricity for our country, was made by Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
“Partnerships are successful. If previously not a single brick was laid, not a single electric wire was drawn to free Moldova from blackmail and threat, in just 4 years, thanks to strong partnerships, Moldova is building its true independence,” the Prime Minister noted.
Thus, after Chișinău-Vulcănești line, which will be completed this year, Moldova will have two more high-voltage connections. One in the northern segment of the country with Bălți - Suceava, which is in the design stage, and the second in the central region of Moldova, Strășeni-Gutinaș.
