Head of State appoints Liliana Vițu as Director of Center for Strategic Communication and Countering Disinformation
President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu has approved the resignation request of Ana Revenco from the leadership of the Center for Strategic Communication and Countering Disinformation and has signed the decree appointing Liliana Vițu as director of the institution.
The Head of State expressed her appreciation for Ana Revenco’s work. “I thank her for the work carried out at the head of the Center and for the role she played in building this institution. In an unprecedented regional and security context, Revenco laid the foundations of an essential structure for strengthening the resilience of the Republic of Moldova in the face of disinformation and foreign interference. I am grateful to her for her professionalism and perseverance,” noted the Head of State.
At the same time, Maia Sandu expressed confidence that Liliana Vițu will continue the development of the Center and the strengthening of society’s capacity to respond to increasingly complex challenges in the information space. Liliana Vițu has over 25 years of experience in the media and communications field, and for almost the last 5 years she has headed the Audiovisual Council, the regulatory institution that she has brought into the service of citizens and aligned with European regulatory standards.
