Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu has had a meeting with PM of the Principality of Liechtenstein Brigitte Haas. The officials discussed the benefits that a sustainable economic partnership could bring and the capitalization of the opportunities provided by the Free Trade Agreement with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), which entered into force last year.

At the same time, Munteanu highlighted the advantages of investing in Moldova, with Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu inviting companies from Liechtenstein to enter our country's market. “We have talented people, a skilled workforce, sectors with great development potential and increasingly competitive entrepreneurs. These conditions allow us to build a sustainable economic partnership, for the benefit of both sides,” the Moldovan prime minister said.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Brigitte Haas praised the efforts of the authorities to ensure the integrity of the parliamentary elections held last autumn and to combat disinformation, as well as the progress made by Moldova in the process of European integration.

At the same time, Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by the Liechtenstein Development Service Foundation (LED), through which more projects in the education sector have been implemented or are in the process of being carried out. The officials also considered possibilities for expanding LED’s project portfolio. During the conversation, the sides showed clear interest in supporting and promoting vocational and technical education in Moldova.
