
CEC presented preliminary results in localities with new local elections
The Central Electoral Commission /CEC/ presented the preliminary results in the localities where runoff local elections for the mayoral position took place yesterday.
Thus, in the village of Tabani, Briceni district, independent candidate Vasile Sîtari picked up 62.12% (597 votes), while Tatiana Bolduma of the European Social Democratic Party gathered 37.88% (364 votes).
Similarly, in Chiperceni commune, Orhei district, Ion Botnari of the Moldovan National Party received 64.65% (651 votes), whereas Valentina Surchicin of the Action and Solidarity Party picked up 35.35% (356 votes).
In Talmaza village, Ștefan Vodă district, independent candidate Vasile Leșan obtained 54.34% (1045 votes), while Victor Pronoza of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova - 45.66% (878 votes).
In Boldurești commune, Nisporeni district, independent candidate Nicanor Ciochină has got 50.53% (615 votes), whereas independent candidate Sergiu Bulicanu - 49.47% (602 votes).
According to the Electoral Code, in the second round of elections, the candidate with the highest number of votes is considered elected.
