DOC National Program for Moldova's EU accession for 2025-2029 published in Official Journal
The National Program for Moldova's accession to the European Union for 2025-2029 /NP/ was published today in the Official Journal. The document contains over 650 pages and represents the main planning and monitoring document for reforms in the coming years.
By implementing the Program, our country will prepare for EU integration through a complex process of aligning national legislation and institutions with European standards.
The Program includes sections dedicated to the 33 accession chapters covering all essential areas - from fundamental rights and economy to environmental protection and digitalization.
The document provides for the adoption and implementation of 3117 European acts by 2029, including 1791 normative actions and 1088 implementation actions.
According to authorities, implementing the document will contribute to improving citizens' quality of life - through more efficient public services, functional justice, quality education and health, modern infrastructure, and a cleaner environment. Additionally, the business environment will benefit from increased access to the European market, and better cooperation between public authorities will be ensured for the effective implementation of reforms.
The coordination of the NP's implementation will be ensured by the State Chancellery, through the Bureau for European Integration. The results will be reflected in a consolidated annual report, presented to the Government and Parliament by February 25 of the following reporting year.
The NP will be updated annually, starting in October, by integrating recommendations and benchmarks established in the European Commission's annual progress report, as well as other commitments made during Moldova's EU accession negotiations.
The Government Decision on the approval of the National Program comes into force on the date of publication in the Official Journal of the Republic of Moldova.
