Energy investments and projects - priorities on Moldova–US relations agenda
Strengthening the strategic partnership between the Republic of Moldova and the United States, advancing the Strășeni–Gutinaș energy project, and attracting new investments were among the main priorities discussed by Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the US Vlad Kulminski, during consultations held in Chișinău before his return to Washington.
In a post, Vlad Kulminski announced that he had several rounds of consultations with the relevant institutions and with the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, regarding the strategic objectives of Moldovan–American relations for the coming period.
The discussions addressed the strengthening of cooperation in the field of security, the advancement of the strategic Strășeni–Gutinaș energy interconnection project, maintaining favorable conditions for Moldovan exporters on the United States market, as well as attracting new investments and projects in the Republic of Moldova.
The parties also discussed the active promotion of the interests of the Republic of Moldova in the US Congress, at the White House, within the US administration and in the expert community in Washington, in the context in which international developments have a direct impact on the region.
The consultations also covered the European path of the Republic of Moldova, cooperation with the diaspora in the United States, and the contribution of the Moldovan community in the US to the development of bilateral relations.
“I am returning to Washington with an ambitious agenda. A lot of work lies ahead so that the partnership between the Republic of Moldova and the United States continues to deliver concrete results for our citizens,” said Ambassador Vlad Kulminski.
Vlad Kulminski was appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the US in June 2025.
