Runoff presidential elections in Romania: Over 60,000 people voted in Moldova

In the 64 polling stations opened in the Republic of Moldova for the runoff presidential elections of Romania, about 60,000 people have voted as of today, at 4 PM.

According to real-time data provided by the Permanent Electoral Authority of Romania, nearly 423,000 voters have cast their votes abroad by Saturday at 3 PM (Romanian time) for the runoff presidential elections.

Additionally, 3,139 voters have voted by mail, bringing the total number of votes cast abroad to 425,757.

The most Romanian voters have cast their votes by the mentioned time in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Germany, Italy, Moldova, Spain and France.

For the Romanian presidential elections, 965 polling stations were opened outside the country's borders. At these stations, Romanian citizens located abroad on the election day can vote, regardless of whether they have a domicile or residence abroad. Romanian citizens in the diaspora have three days available to vote.

Two candidates are running in the presidential race: AUR party candidate George Simion and independent candidate Nicușor Dan.
