Moldovan Central Electoral Commission says over half of political parties have not yet started financial reporting

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) informs that January 15, 2026 is the deadline for submitting reports on the financial management of political parties for the second half of 2025. Although the procedure is mandatory for all 66 parties registered with the Public Services Agency (ASP), most of the formations have not yet completed the reporting process.

According to CEC’s data, as of today, only 16 political parties have submitted complete reports. Three formations have created the documents, but they were signed by only one person, even though the law requires the signatures of both the party leader and the party treasurer. Another 16 parties have started filling out the reports, while 31 formations have not begun the procedure.

Financial reports are submitted exclusively online, through the SSI Financial Control module.

The CEC warns that failure to submit, late submission, or the transmission of incomplete data represent infringements of legal provisions and may entail liability, in accordance with the legislation in force.
