Moldovan deputy premier meets Ukrainian counterpart in Chisinau

The Republic of Moldova and Ukraine are moving forward together on the path toward the European Union. We are ready to open all negotiation clusters and are counting on the support of EU member states to advance this process. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi made the statement at a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart, Andrii Sybiha .

The officials discussed the latest Russian attacks on Ukraine’s infrastructure, the European integration process, and joint projects in the fields of energy and infrastructure.

“I was pleased to see my good friend, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sybiha, again in Chișinău. We discussed how we can work together to counter Russia’s attempts to destabilize our countries and the entire region. The Republic of Moldova and Ukraine are walking together on the path toward the European Union. We are ready to open all negotiation clusters and count on the support of EU member states to move forward in this process,” Mihai Popșoi emphasized.

During the meeting, Andrii Sybiha handed Mihai Popșoi the Order “For Merit,” Second Class, awarded by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
