Moldovan deputy PM participates in solemn ceremony dedicated to starting of new school year at Evrica Theoretical Lyceum from Rabnita
Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri today took part in the solemn First Bell ceremony organized at Evrica Theoretical Lyceum in the city of Rabnita. The deputy PM extended congratulations to the pupils, teachers and parents on the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year, wishing them perseverance, excellent results and confidence in their own abilities.
The participation in the event provided a good opportunity to reaffirm the support of the constitutional authorities for the school community of this institution which, despite the difficulties faced over the years, continues to ensure children’s access to quality education in the Romanian language, based on national educational curricula.
“We will continue to give priority attention to the proper working of schools with education in the Romanian language from the Transnistrian region and to support the pupils, teachers and parents who, through their daily efforts, defend the right to education in their mother tongue. ‘Evrica’ Theoretical Lyceum is an example of dignity, resilience and dedication to the values of national education,” said Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri.
At the same time, the deputy PM emphasized that Chişinău’s concerns focused not only on the activity of the eight educational institutions with education in Romanian, but on the entire education system of Moldova’s Transnistrian region. The educational process in the region must be organized in accordance with the provisions of Moldova’s Education Code and with European standards in the field, so that the right to modern, safe and quality education is guaranteed to all children of the region.
