
Moldovan MPs of faction of Bloc of Communists and Socialists walk out of session hall
Chisinau, 29 July /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs of the faction of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS) today walked out of the session hall at the solemn meeting dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution’s adoption.
The leaving of the session hall was preceded by a speech of Deputy Parliament Speaker Vlad Batrincea. He said that ‘’the celebration of the Constitution Day this year is much sadder,’’ enumerating more decisions which are ’’unconstitutional’’ in the opinion of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists. Thus, BCS walked out of the session hall, as a token of protest.
Moldova’s parliament today convened at a solemn meeting dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution. The meeting brought together present and former MPs, former Moldovan presidents and parliament speakers, former presidents of the Constitutional Court, members of the Commission and the working group for the elaboration of the Republic of Moldova’s Constitution, who directly got involved in the working out of the state’s Fundamental Law.
