Moldovan president condemns last night attack on Ukraine

The free world must boost its support for Ukraine and exert pressures on Russia to accept a credible ceasefire. President Maia Sandu has made statements to this effect, following a new massive aerial attack launched last night by Russia on Ukraine.

The attack resulted in at least 18 people killed, including four children, and over a hundred injured.

“Another night of horror in Kyiv. Russia's missiles killed civilians, including children. Yesterday, I said it clearly: Russia brings war and death, today we have further proof. The free world must boost its support for Ukraine and exert pressures on Russia to accept a credible ceasefire,” said Maia Sandu.

The drone and missile attack began on the evening of August 27, when more Shahed drones entered Ukraine's territory, targeting mainly the capital Kyiv.

In total, 629 drones and ballistic missiles were launched, as stated by the Ukrainian Army’s Air Forces on their Telegram channel.
