Moldovan MP Marina Tauber denied salary over unjustified absences in parliament
MP Marina Tauber will no longer receive salary, allowances and compensations, after being absent without justification from plenary sessions and those of permanent committees held since the beginning of this year. The decision to suspend payments was taken by Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, at a proposal of the juridical commission for appointments and immunities.
According to the order signed, payments will only be made when the MP resumes her parliamentary activity.
The parliament's regulations stipulate that an MP who is absent for reasons not related to protests must inform the Standing Bureau about the cause of absence.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, Marina Tauber has not provided any justification for her absence from parliament meetings.
