Natalia Gavrilita candidate of Action and Solidarity Party for PM office in Moldova
Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - Natalia Gavrilita is the candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) for the office of prime minister and she will soon come up with a governmental team able to implement the agenda backed by the citizens at the recent elections. The head of the PAS faction, Mihai Popsoi, today made statements to this effect following the consultations with the head of state.
According to Popsoi, the decision to put forward Gavrilita was supported by the entire formation. ‘’Gavrilita will come up before the country with a government which from the very first day will start implementing the agenda which the citizens backed at the elections. She is best positioned for this office; she has experience, has the fiscal and economic portfolio and in these conditions and thanks to the full support of the party, she will manage to contribute to social and economic progress,’’ Popsoi noted.
Mihai Popsoi avoided saying who would be members of the new governmental team; yet, he specified that old ministers would be on the list as well.
At 9:00, Maia Sandu expected at consultations the lawmakers of the Electoral Bloc of Communists and Socialists and at 9:30 – the MPs of the Shor Party’s faction.
The leader of the Party of Socialists, Igor Dodon, said that ‘’Natalia Gavrilita is a good professional; yet, the opposition cannot back the people of the power to the key positions from institutions.’’
