Travel alert for Belgium: air traffic to be disrupted due to national strike
The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Belgium and Luxembourg has issued an alert for Moldovan citizens who are in Belgium, in transit, or planning to travel to this country, in the context of a national strike announced for 12 May 2026.
According to the diplomatic mission, the protest will have a significant impact on air traffic in the Kingdom of Belgium, with possible changes or cancellations of flights.
The Embassy recommends that passengers regularly check the updated information published by Brussels Airport regarding flight status and contact airlines for additional details about possible changes to flight schedules.
The diplomatic authorities urge citizens to plan their trips in advance and follow official announcements in order to avoid possible inconveniences caused by the strike.
