President congratulated Romania's new Prime Minister
President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu sent a congratulatory message to Romania's new Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan on his appointment. In a post published on platform X, the head of state reiterated Chișinău's commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
“I congratulate Ilie Bolojan on his appointment as Prime Minister of Romania. The Republic of Moldova remains a reliable partner, and we are confident we will continue the close cooperation with Romania for the benefit of the citizens on both sides of the Prut River,” wrote Maia Sandu.
Ilie Bolojan was appointed as Prime Minister after the new government received the vote of confidence from Romania's Parliament on 23 June. The government led by Bolojan obtained 301 votes in favor and only nine against. The cabinet ministers were sworn in on the same day at Cotroceni Palace.
