Voters have seven days left to register to vote by mail in parliamentary elections
Voters have seven days left to register to vote by mail in the parliamentary elections on 28 September 2025. The procedure is available for citizens in the United States of America, Canada, the Kingdom of Norway, the Kingdom of Sweden, the Republic of Finland, Iceland, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia and New Zealand.
According to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), as of today, over 1,300 citizens have registered for voting by mail, most of them from the USA (about 700 people) and Canada (370 people).
"Registration for mail voting is a mandatory procedure through which the voter expresses the intention to vote abroad using postal or courier services. The purpose of the procedure is to determine the number of voters opting for this alternative voting method and to prepare the electoral lists for mail voting," stated CEC.
The registration process is done online, via the official website https://vpc.cec.md. A voter wishing to register for mail voting must fill out an online form.
The registration period will end on 14 August.
