
Parliament of 11th Legislature examined 16 motions during four-year term
In 2021–2025, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova (11th legislature) received and examined 222 reports and 16 motions.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations dep[artment, the Parliament received 222 reports from various institutions over four years. This number steadily increased from 35 in 2021 to 50 in 2024. In the Legislative plenary sessions, 41 reports were examined, including annual reports presented by the Government, the Court of Accounts, CNA, the Audiovisual Council, Teleradio-Moldova Company and Ombudsman.
Another 88 reports were analyzed within the specialized parliamentary committees.
Throughout the legislature, 10 parliamentary hearings were organized, focusing on major issues such as the recovery of money stolen from the banking system (Billion Theft), the agricultural crisis, the implementation of the National Afforestation Program, and the situation in the educational system.
In three cases, the hearings resulted in the adoption of parliamentary resolutions that recommended proposals and suggestions. The hearings on the recovery of the billion ended with the dismissal of the Governor of the National Bank of Moldova.
During 2021–2025, three motions of censure were submitted, all of which were rejected. Additionally, 13 simple motions were filed, seven of which in 2025.
