As many as 1,069 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova
Chisinau, 24 February /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 8,795 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,069 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. 5 out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 499,015 COVID cases have been recorded so far.
Health Ministry (MS), 36 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (6 physicians, 14 medical assistants, 16 auxiliary staff).
As many as 1,455 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 135 are in extremely serious condition and 22 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.
In the context, 10,063 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 12,435 are under supervision at home.
Another 1,410 people have been treated. As many as 472,261 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 14 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 11,171 people have died of coronavirus in all.
