
As many as 628 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours
Chisinau, 17 April /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,187 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 628 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which three import ones. As many as 245,494 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 11 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 1, medical assistants –8 and auxiliary staff -2.
As many as 2,852 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 272 are in extremely serious condition (49 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).
In the context, 5,304 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 16,184 are under supervision at home.
Another 1,324 people have been treated. As many as 230,090 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 27 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,548 people have died of coronavirus in all.
