Consular services of Embassy of Moldova in USA temporarily suspended
The consular services of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the United States of America have been temporarily suspended following a technical incident at the diplomatic mission's premises.
According to the Embassy, the suspension was caused by a short circuit under the building's roof, in a difficult-to-access area, which resulted in a small fire. The Embassy immediately alerted emergency services, and firefighters promptly intervened, preventing severe consequences.
The Embassy building is an old structure with the status of an architectural monument, making technical interventions more complex. Currently, damage assessment is underway by the insurance company, after which necessary repair work will be carried out.
Until these are completed, consular services will be temporarily offered at another location. Representatives of the diplomatic mission announced that the address of the new location will be communicated during the day on the Embassy's official page and the institution's website.
The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the United States of America urged consular service applicants to follow official announcements.
