General Police Inspectorate: specialists to examine drone detected in north Moldova district, to establish characteristics, associated risks

Specialists from the Police's Technical-Explosive Division are set to examine the drone detected in the village of Pepeni, northern Sangerei district, in order to establish its characteristics and any associated risks. The flying apparatus was discovered by a man on a hill near the locality on last Saturday.

According to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), law enforcement officers arrived on the scene for checks and to evaluate the situation. They established that the man today ruled to transport the object home without notifying authorities.

In the context, police warn citizens not to touch or attempt to transport fallen drones or similar objects.

"Maintain distance from the discovered drone until authorities arrive. Avoid handling unknown objects, in order to prevent any risk," said the IGP.

In case of identifying similar objects, it is important for people to immediately notify the police by calling the 112 Service.
