Head of State condemned violent attack in Sydney on first day of Hanukkah
President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu condemned today's violent attack in Sydney, Australia, on the first day of Hanukkah, saying she was "deeply shocked" by the events and expressing solidarity with the victims and the Jewish community.
In a message on platform X, the head of state conveyed that her thoughts are with the victims, their families, and the Jewish community in Australia and worldwide. Maia Sandu emphasized that violence and anti-Semitism have no place in democratic societies.
At least 12 people were killed and several injured in a shooting attack today on Bondi Beach in Sydney during the celebration of the Jewish holiday Hanukkah.
