Meteorologists issue Yellow Code of strong wind in Moldova
Meteorologists have issued a yellow wind warning today. It will be valid across Moldova starting from January 8, 16:00, till January 9, 12:00.
Thus, according to the State Hydrometeorological Service, on this period, westerly winds are forecast, with gusts reaching speeds of 15–20 meters per second.
Specialists warn that the intensity of the phenomenon may cause discomfort and increased risks, especially for road traffic, outdoor activities and light infrastructure.
Authorities recommend that the population exercise increased caution, avoid non-essential travel during strong gusts, secure objects that could be displaced by the wind and stay alert to possible falling of branches or unstable elements.
