Modern equipment for pupils from central Moldova settlement, through project supported by World Bank
The Ion Creanga Gymnasium from the village of Micleuseni, central Straseni district, has been equipped with interactive devices and IT equipment that will be used during classes by more than 180 students and 16 teachers working at the institution.
The equipment was provided under the Improving the Quality of Education Project, implemented by the Education and Research Ministry (MEC) and financed by the World Bank.
Pupils and teachers say that the new digital equipment, IT technology and interactive devices quite very useful in lessons, also contributing to the development of digital skills.
"In a modern classroom, learning is much easier, information is assimilated much better, and students are truly motivated to come to school and study," says Sorin Vulpe, a pupil at the Ion Creanga Gymnasium.
In total, 290 educational institutions – schools and kindergartens – have benefited from digital equipment under a competition previously announced by the MEC within the project. More than 100,000 children and about 15,000 teachers will benefit from this support. The investment amounts to over 15.5 million lei.
