Over 1,000 Diaspora Moldovans register for Online Career Fair
Over 1,000 citizens of Moldova living abroad have already registered for the second edition of the Online Career Fair for the Diaspora, expressing interest in employment opportunities and options for returning to the country. The event will take place on June 11, in an online format, and will bring together public institutions and private companies which provide jobs for Diaspora professionals.
According to the organizers, the number of registered participants is continuously increasing, showing the growing interest of Moldovans living abroad in reconnecting with the labor market of Moldova. The professional experience gained in the Diaspora is considered an important resource for the country’s development, and more and more citizens are considering the possibility of returning home.
The Online Career Fair for the Diaspora is the only event of its kind in Moldova and aims to facilitate the connection between the Diaspora and employers in the country. The project is organized by the Diaspora Relations Buerau (BRD) and the National Employment Agency (ANOFM), with the support of the World Health Organization, the International Organization for Migration and the Government of Switzerland.
This year’s edition features public institutions, such as the Justice Ministry, the National Bank of Moldova, the General Police Inspectorate and the Information Technology and Cyber Security Service, as well as private companies with an international profile, including Moldcell, Wizz Air, OTP Bank, Orange, Kaufland, Grafit and Medpark.
The participants will have access to employment opportunities in various fields, including information technology, communications, design, medicine, education, finance, engineering and public administration. The offers target both experienced professionals and those at the beginning of their careers.
During the event, the participants registered will be able to interact directly with employers, schedule interviews and take part in informational sessions dedicated to the labor market of Moldova. In addition, BRD and ANOFM representatives will present the support programmes and mechanisms available to citizens who intend to return and settle in the country.
The organizers emphasize that the fair offers not only access to job opportunities, but also the chance to build long-term professional contacts, which can later be transformed into concrete opportunities for employment and collaboration. For many members of the Diaspora, the event represents a first step in the process of returning and professional reintegration in Moldova.
