A new group of Moldovan carabineers has been deployed to Kosovo to participate in the KFOR mission, alongside troops from over 27 countries. This is the third rotation of the Moldovan contingent in this international peacekeeping mission.
The deployment event took place today at the General Directorate of Carabineers attended by officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, embassy representatives, and international partners.
Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin conveyed a message of encouragement to the carabineers before their departure.
“I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the honor of continuing the mission of representing the Republic of Moldova beyond its borders. There, your courage, dignity, and preparation are in the service of peace. Through your mission, you give voice to the entire Republic of Moldova, proudly wearing the insignia of the carabineer forces,” stated Daniella Misail-Nichitin.
The minister emphasized appreciation for previous teams in the KFOR mission and mentioned the involvement of a female carabineer in this rotation, highlighting the importance of equality and professionalism.
Through such missions, Moldova reaffirms its commitment to global peace and security, while Moldovan carabineers continue to advance professionally.
