
EU Commissioner's visit to Chisinau
In connection with the visit to Chisinau by European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, the authorities announce restrictions on May 8 and 9 regarding access to certain public places in Chisinau.
On 8 May (from 18:00 to 23:50) and 9 May (from 06:00 to 23:00), access to certain public places in Chisinau, in the city center and on the routes connecting to Chisinau International Airport will be temporarily restricted.
Additionally, gatherings, mass events, road/utility network repair works, and tree trimming/cleaning will not be allowed within the street perimeter where the official convoy will pass.
Exceptions to the restrictions are social-cultural events mentioned in prior declarations submitted to Chisinau City Hall during the period.
Drivers are urged to comply with traffic requirements, show patience and discipline on the roads, without deviating from the Traffic Regulations.Marta Kos will pay an official visit to the Republic of Moldova on 8-12 May 2025. The government announced in a press release that the visit takes place at a symbolic time—on the occasion of Europe Day—and reaffirms the European Union's commitment to supporting the European path of the Republic of Moldova.
