New member appointed at Court of Accounts

Nina Onofrei has been appointed as a member of the Court of Accounts. The decision was approved today by the Parliament.

Nina Onofrei has been appointed for a five-year term. Her candidacy was selected following a public competition.

The position became vacant due to the expiration of Viorel Chetraru's term as a member of the Court of Accounts.

After the voting procedure, Nina Onofrei took the oath in front of the deputies.

Previously, Nina Onofrei served as head of the National Health Insurance Company.

The Court of Accounts is the supreme audit institution of the state, ensuring the conduct of independent audit missions. It consists of seven members appointed by Parliament for a five-year term, at the proposal of the President of the Court of Accounts, based on a public competition, with the vote of the majority of elected deputies.
