Moldovan Education Ministry launches cycle of regional events on March 15, as part of Study in Moldova campaign
The Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) invites to the first regional events as part of the Study in Moldova campaign, on 15 March 2025. The events will be held in Hancesti and Edinet. This initiative aims to inform high school and college graduates about the educational offerings of universities from Moldova.
According to MEC, about 700 twelfth-grade graduates from the Hancesti, Ialoveni, Cimislia and Leova districts are expected to attend in Hancesti, while almost 800 students from Edinet, Briceni, Ocnita, and Donduseni will attend in Edinet.
“Universities will present study programmes and specialties. At the same time, several career guidance workshops will be organized for students with specialists from various fields, such as education, medicine, journalism, entrepreneurship, IT, agriculture, etc. The event in Hancesti will culminate with a musical recital by MAREJ. The activity in Edinet will conclude with a concert by Kapushon,” said the Ministry of Education.
In total, 10 regional events are planned as part of the campaign. The next ones will take place in Soroca and Causeni on March 22, in Balti and Calarasi on March 29, in Orhei and Cahul on April 5, and in Straseni and Comrat on April 12.
The Ministry of Education and Research and higher education institutions in late last February informed about the launch, for the first time, of a joint campaign to promote university studies in the country, Study in Moldova. Through this initiative, the authorities aim to persuade as many young people as possible to pursue bachelor's and master's studies in universities from the country.
