
Moldovan education ministry says six schools, 152 classes work online
Chisinau, 5 November /MOLDPRES/ - There were 203 pupils positively tested with COVID-19 and 3,967 were placed in self-isolation on 4 November. Also, six education institutions of Moldova work online because of the quarantine, just as in the case of 152 classes, the Education Culture and Research Ministry (MECC) has reported.
According to the ministry, 283 teachers were confirmed positive with the new-type coronavirus and 233 are in self-isolation. Sixty seven persons out of the non-didactic and auxiliary staff were infected with the new-type coronavirus and another 71 ones are in self-isolation.
„A number of 1,302 education institutions resumed working, at the founder’s decision, out of the total number of 1,398 early education institutions. Presently, seven institutions and 27 groups of children are in quarantine. There are seven children positively confirmed with the COVID-19 virus and another 851 ones are in self-isolation. Eighty one teachers were confirmed positive with the new-type coronavirus and 88 ones are in self-isolation. Thirty five people were infected out of the non-didactic and auxiliary personnel and another 104 are in self-isolation,’’ MECC said.
The Education, Culture and Research Ministry reiterates the urge to the managers of education institutions, teachers and pupils to observe all protection measures against the COVID-19 virus.
