
Moldovan foreign affairs ministry hosts videoconference of ambassadors with ASP director as guest
Chisinau, 27 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) has hosted the seventh meeting within the platform of communication and interaction between public institutions and the heads of the diplomatic missions and consular offices of Moldova from abroad. The guest of the seventh edition was the director of the Public Services Agency, Mircea Esanu.
According MAEIE’s press service, in the beginning of the meeting, the Ministry’s secretary general, Mihai Mitu, stressed the importance of a high level of inter-institutional cooperation, in order to de-bureaucratize the process of providing the consular services and synchronize the efforts of electronic integration of the information systems, in an attempt to digitalize the services.
For his part, Mircea Esanu reiterated that the institution he leads had full openness to advance the discussions on the digitalization of the consular services for the Moldovan citizens from the Diaspora. He gave practical examples and solutions, such as the MDelivery instrument, which allows delivering identity papers directly to the home address.
The official also noted that MPay, which gives a convenient alternative of online payment or the piloting of a project at several missions from abroad, had the task to facilitate the procedure of processing passports. Gradually, this system is to be extended to all diplomatic missions and consular offices of Moldova.
