Moldovan president congratulates citizens on Resurrection of the Lord

President Maia Sandu has delivered a message on the occasion of the Holy Easter Holidays. "On these blessed days, I urge you to return to what truly matters: faith, hope and care for people around us," the head of state said.

Maia Sandu noted that Easter was about solidarity, about united families and about communities that keep their trust.

"Easter is about the triumph of good over darkness, about the strength to move forward even when the road is difficult. It is about solidarity, about united families and about communities that keep their trust," the Moldovan president also said.

At the same time, the head of state urged citizens not to forget, during the holidays, those for whom these days were more difficult.

"Let us not forget those for whom these days are harder. A sincere gesture, a helping hand or a kind word can bring comfort where it is needed. In such moments, our true strength is revealed – the strength of being together," Maia Sandu said.

"I wish everyone peace, health and the joy of spending these moments with an open heart. Christ is Risen!" President Maia Sandu concluded.

The Orthodox Christians are celebrating Holy Easter today, considered the greatest feast of Christianity, which signifies the Resurrection of the Lord.
